Job summary

Apple's Keynote team is seeking a Shader & Effects Engineer to design, develop, and optimize advanced visual effects and animations for the Keynote rendering engine. This contract role requires collaborating with designers and engineers to translate creative concepts into polished user experiences on Apple Silicon devices.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in graphics/shader development, strong knowledge of rendering pipelines, and hands-on experience with shader languages such as Metal, GLSL,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in graphics, rendering, or shader development.
  • Experience with real-time graphics optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of rendering pipelines and GPU/CPU synchronization.
  • Experience with shader languages: Metal, GLSL, HLSL, or Vulkan.
  • Proven ability to ship graphics features in production.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement shader-driven visual effects and animations.
  • Optimize graphics and rendering for Apple Silicon devices.
  • Collaborate with designers to translate concepts into visuals.
  • Research and adopt state-of-the-art rendering technologies.
  • Own graphics features throughout the development lifecycle.
