Job summary

Qualifications

• Medical laboratory certification or a CLIA-compliant Bachelor's degree
• Two years clinical lab experience including molecular or PCR testing
• Experience in high-volume urgent care or clinical lab settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform CLIA high-complexity, real-time PCR testing per protocols and regulatory requirements
• Collect, prepare, process, and analyze patient specimens
• Document laboratory results accurately in the EMR
• Maintain quality control, calibration, and routine maintenance of lab equipment
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
• Manage specimens for internal and external testing as needed
• Monitor inventory, reagents, and expiration dates
• Troubleshoot testing discrepancies and equipment issues
• Maintain clean, safe laboratory environment
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support operations
• Provide supervision for day-to-day test performance
