Qualifications

• Medical laboratory certification or a CLIA-compliant Bachelor's degree.
• At least 2 years of clinical lab experience including molecular or PCR testing.
• Preferred: 5+ years of clinical lab experience.
• Experience performing high-complexity real-time PCR in regulated labs.
• Experience in urgent care, primary care, or high-volume clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity real-time PCR testing per protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Collect, prepare, process, and analyze patient specimens.
• Document laboratory results in the EMR.
• Perform quality control, calibration, and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Ensure CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards are met.
• Prepare and manage specimens for internal and external testing as needed.
• Monitor inventory, reagents, and expiration dates.
• Identify and report testing discrepancies or equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe laboratory environment.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support operations.
