MainStreet Family Care seeks a Laboratory General Supervisor in Wake Forest, NC to lead high-complexity PCR testing, manage specimens, and ensure quality in a growing urgent care network. The role supports providers and lab techs to deliver rapid, accurate results, with opportunity for growth within a patient-focused organization.

The ideal candidate has real-time PCR expertise, CLIA knowledge, and a track record of quality assurance in fast-paced clinical labs.

Qualifications

• Medical laboratory certification or a CLIA-compliant Bachelor's degree.
• Two years of clinical laboratory experience including molecular or PCR testing.
• Preferred: five years of clinical laboratory experience in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform CLIA high-complexity, real-time PCR testing per protocols.
• Collect, prepare, process, and analyze patient specimens.
• Document laboratory results in the EMR.
• Perform quality control, calibration, and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Ensure CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control compliance.
• Prepare and manage specimens for internal and external testing.
• Monitor inventory, reagents, and expiration dates.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and report testing discrepancies and equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Collaborate with providers and lab staff to support operations.
• Provide supervision for day-to-day test performance.
