Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior simulation software engineer to design, analyze, and implement mathematical models for New Glenn, orbital launch operations, and related subsystems. You will develop real-time software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop capabilities, and maintain thorough model documentation to support training and verification tasks.

The role requires a strong background in aerospace or engineering dynamics, hands-on testing with SIL/HIL, and collaboration across propulsion,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, computer science, electrical, or mechanical engineering, physics, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of dynamic modeling including multi-body dynamics, gas dynamics, fluids, thermodynamics.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, Python, RTOS, serial communications, IP networking, and embedded systems.
• Strong software/model development skills, especially MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, implement, and revise software models of New Glenn and subsystems.
• Develop real-time SIL/HIL simulation architectures.
• Maintain model documentation and databooks.
