Blue Origin is hiring to lead the development, integration, and validation of mission-critical software for the New Glenn rocket system. You will work within a small, high-impact team to shape system-level software architecture and deliver verifiable, safe flight software in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on validation in hardware-in-loop setups, collaboration across engineering disciplines, and adherence to safety-critical software practices in aerospace development.

Qualifications

• B.S. in computer science, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience with real-time embedded systems and safety-critical software verification.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with Python and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead software integration activities for critical rocket systems throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Work hands-on in a hardware-in-loop environment to validate flight software.
• Design and implement verification strategies for safety-critical systems.
• Influence system-level software architecture decisions.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across integrated rocket systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets mission requirements.
