Job summary

RTX in Goleta, CA seeks a Principal Software Engineer for EW projects, contributing to architecture, design and integration of complex software and FPGA-based solutions. You will work with systems, firmware, electrical and software engineers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The role expects 8+ years in STEM, C/C++ expertise, embedded platforms, and readiness to obtain a Secret clearance. Occasional travel may be required; relocation support is available for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science/Engineering/Mathematics with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in C/C++ design, development, integration and test.
• Embedded microprocessors, FPGA design, DDR, signal analyses or generation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on cross-disciplinary teams in agile development.
• Design, develop, integrate and test complex software and systems.
• Create software requirements and FPGA interfaces from system requirements.
• Collaborate with systems, firmware, electrical and software engineers.
• Travel for business as needed.
