Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) Goleta, CA seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Real-time Embedded, to join the on-site EW software team. You will design, implement, and test real-time embedded software for complex products, collaborating with hardware, firmware, and software engineers in an agile environment.

You will develop requirements for FPGA interfaces, work on system-level architectures, and contribute to lab and field testing. A DoD Secret clearance is required, with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in software design, integration and test using C/C++.
• Experience with embedded microprocessor design, SoC software, FPGAs, DDR and related hardware interfaces.
• Experience developing real-time applications on embedded platforms (bare metal, Linux, or Windows).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-disciplinary product teams using agile methods to plan, design, test, and integrate complex software and systems.
• Innovate implementations of new products and technologies from architecture to field tests.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to produce planning and technical work for internal customers.
• Develop software requirements and FPGA interface requirements from system requirements; perform simulations and tests.
