Job summary

Raytheon seeks a Principal Software Engineer to join the EW projects team onsite in the US. You will lead cross-disciplinary software efforts, develop real-time embedded software, and craft architectures from system requirements to FPGA implementations.

The role demands deep experience with C/C++, embedded Linux, FPGAs, and radar-related technologies, plus the ability to obtain a Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship. Collaboration with systems, firmware, and electrical engineers is essential.

Qualifications

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with C/C++, embedded real-time software, and embedded Linux.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
Radar technology, EA/ES, Secure Communications knowledge.
Experience with Agile development processes; machine learning experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership on cross-disciplined product teams using agile development methods.
Invent and innovate new products from architecture to field testing.
Collaborate with senior staff to create original solutions for complex problems.
Develop software requirements and FPGA interfaces derived from system specs; run simulations and tests.
Work with systems, firmware, electrical and software engineers on integration.
Root-cause issues and devise creative resolutions in a fast-paced environment.
