Job summary

Raytheon in Marlborough, MA seeks a Principal Embedded Software Engineer for the REPA Department to design, develop, and sustain land and sea radar software. The role is 100% onsite and focuses on transitioning legacy radar software to modern Linux systems while maintaining deployed functionality.

Required: 8+ years in STEM, Embedded C/C++, Ada, VxWorks and Linux, with US citizenship and the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance. Relocation assistance is available where eligible.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Embedded C/C++ and/or Ada software development experience.
• Experience on VxWorks and Linux/Unix platforms.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support sustainment of legacy radar systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and patching.
• Port legacy software to modern Linux systems or identify replacements.
• Support software integration, testing, and verification.
