Job summary
Insitu, a Boeing company, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver real-time, safety-critical software for unmanned aircraft systems. You will work across embedded firmware, real-time architectures, and cross-functional teams to ensure robust, high-quality products.
The role offers hybrid on-site work in the Seattle area with relocation support and a strong Total Rewards package. You will mentor peers, interact with senior technical leaders, and contribute to advanced software
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics.
- 9–13 years in engineering, or 7–11 with a Master’s degree.
- Real-time software architecture and design experience.
- Programming languages: C++, C, C#, MATLAB, etc.
- Knowledge of networking, OS (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with safety-critical systems and embedded software.
- Ability to interact with senior personnel and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Solve challenging engineering problems and lead real-time safety-critical software.
- Specialist skills in firmware and embedded systems.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality products and services.
- Represent software engineering with internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor software engineers and advise management.
