Blue Origin in Seattle region seeks an Embedded Software Engineer III to design, develop, and verify real-time embedded software for rocket engines. You will contribute to safety-critical software components, driver interfaces, and system architectures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, verification, and adherence to stringent SDLC practices in a fast-paced aerospace environment, with potential involvement in DO-178C compliant work.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or higher in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, aerospace, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and testing real-time embedded systems (bare metal, RTOS, Linux kernel).
• Experience writing software requirements and APIs.
• Experience with C/C++ and Python; device drivers; SDLC; debugging at software/hardware boundary.
• Familiarity with serial communications, networking protocols (TCP/IP), sensors/actuators, and Agile methods.
