Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for the Strategic Communication Software Engineering Department in Marlborough, MA. You will participate in cross-disciplinary teams, drive full lifecycle development, and work within the highest maturity software processes.

Strong background in C++, RTOS, and Linux-like environments is required. Applicants must have US government clearance eligibility and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Experience across the software development lifecycle.
• Previous leadership of a small engineering team.
• Proficiency in C++ development.
• Experience with RTOS and embedded programming.
• Knowledge of Linux, VxWorks or similar RTOS.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
• Active transferable US government security clearance before start date.
• US citizenship required for clearance eligibility.
• Typically requires STEM degree with 8+ years of experience or advanced degree with 5+ years.
