Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Senior Software Security Engineer for its Tucson, AZ campus. You will design, develop, and test real-time missile software with C/C++ on embedded platforms, applying system security principles and collaborating with the Systems Security Engineering team.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, DoD security clearance eligibility, and U.S. citizenship. On-site work in Tucson with a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) AND a minimum of 8 years of relevant software experience.
• Experience with C / C++.
• Experience with Xilinx UltaScale+ MPSoC, Versal, or similar Embedded Processors.
• Experience with embedded OS like VxWorks, Embedded Linux, or similar.
• The ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret Level U.S. security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start . U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop real-time missile software applications with C/C++ across multiple computing platforms.
• Analyze and implement System Security requirements in software design and testing.
• Collaborate with Systems Security Engineering to define and implement requirements.
• Interface with customers to review technical design and support verification of system maturity.
• Work in a common development environment to enable program agility and capability reuse.
• Review code and ensure performance implications are considered for security-focused functionality.
