RTX is seeking a Software Engineer in Tucson, AZ to join the Raytheon Software Security Sensors and Effectors (S3E) team. You will contribute to real-time missile software design, development, and testing using C/C++ across multiple computing platforms, while applying System Security principles.

The role involves working in an Agile Scrum environment, with security clearance requirements and opportunities to impact defense technology and national security from Tucson, AZ.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
• Experience with C / C++
• Active/Existing Secret level U.S Security clearance preferred

Responsibilities

• As a System Security software engineer, you will be involved with application and embedded software design, development, integration, and testing of real-time missile software.
• Learn and apply System Security principles to the design and implementation of Missile software applications.
• Develop software applications using C and C++ languages on a variety of computing platforms
• Understand real-time software design and the performance implications associated with specific System Security implementations.
• Work closely with the Systems Security Engineering team to define and implement requirements.
• Work in a common development environment to support and facilitate program ability to leverage specific capabilities.
