Job summary

Sound Transit seeks a Project Manager - Real Property to oversee relocation, acquisition, and appraisal activities for complex real estate projects. You will supervise staff and consultants, coordinate due diligence, and manage budgets and schedules across multiple projects.

The role requires a strong background in real estate, relocation law, and negotiation, with leadership to guide teams and communicate with stakeholders. Hybrid work and a robust benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance and Real Estate, Finance, or closely related field and four years of experience in real estate including real property acquisition, relocation, and real estate appraisal and review that includes leading staff and projects; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: Professional Right of Way Certification (IRWA).
• Strong knowledge of real property laws, appraisal, and relocation processes.

Responsibilities

• Manages relocation and acquisition functions for projects per the Uniform Relocation Act.
• Leads and coordinates daily work of consultants and contractors; oversees due diligence, title, survey and appraisal.
• Reviews relocation calculations, budgets and schedules to maintain project scope.
• Represents Sound Transit in relocation briefings; documents stakeholder commitments.
• Develops policies for the appraisal program and ensures regulatory compliance.
