Job summary

Sound Transit is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Real Property to lead complex relocation and acquisition efforts across transit projects. You will guide staff and consultants, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with federal and state laws while delivering within time and cost constraints.

The role requires a bachelor’s in a real estate related field and at least five years in real property acquisition, relocation, and appraisal with leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, insurance and real estate, finance, or closely related field.
• Five years in real estate including acquisition, relocation, and appraisal with leading or supervising staff.
• Ability to manage scope, schedule, costs, and contract administration.
• Knowledge of relocation laws, condemnation, and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supports relocation/acquisition work for Sound Transit projects.
• Oversees scope, schedule, budget, personnel, and contract compliance.
• Coordinates consultants, title work, and due diligence in real estate.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state laws and agency policies.
• Represents agency in relocation-related briefings and documentation.
