Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration or real estate; and
• Five years of commercial real estate broker experience; and
• Two years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee, coordinate and negotiate the purchase of real property for the City of Albuquerque, including rental, lease or disposal of property rights.
• Evaluate properties to present for surplus determination and ensure compliance with laws and ordinances.
• Prepare and negotiate offers for acquisitions; consult with Legal Department as needed; draft contracts and related documents.
• Research and respond to property questions from the public, City Council, and other departments; provide requested documents and resolve issues.
• Coordinate acquisition processes with owners, tenants, attorneys, engineers and consultants; advise on status of projects.
