Job summary

Altus Group is seeking a Real Estate Valuation Consultant to join our Valuation Expert Team. You will oversee the quarterly valuation process for institutional real estate funds and manage engagement delivery with clients and supervisors.

The role emphasizes advanced Excel capabilities, VBA, data visualization, and rigorous adherence to USPAP and state regulations. Collaboration with teammates and mentoring juniors are key parts of the job.

Qualifications

• A university or college degree from an accredited university in Finance, Statistics, Data/Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
• Strong Excel proficiency with ability to perform complex tasks; VBA experience; knowledge of R, Python, SQL, Tableau/Power BI, Snowflake is a plus.
• Experience in Commercial Real Estate Valuation, Asset Management, Acquisitions, or Underwriting
• Expertise in financial analysis and experience with financial modelling for commercial property types (office, industrial, retail and/or multifamily) in ARGUS
• Proficiency in Excel
• Strong communication skills
• Strong project management skills: managing deadlines, creating plans and evaluating results
• Experience with client deliverable life cycle and proven record of successful management of client deliverables

Responsibilities

• Capable Excel tasks (VBA, data analytics) and create data visualizations
• Oversee daily workflow, manage engagements, deliver on time and on budget
• Review work of junior staff and coach
• Review third-party appraisal reports for USPAP/state compliance
• Manage client communications and develop portfolio presentations
• Develop client relationships at equivalent levels
• Deliver high-quality service and technical excellence
