Baker Tilly US is seeking a Managing Director to lead our Real Estate Advisory team in New York. You will manage real estate valuations, oversee engagements, and drive business development while mentoring staff.

The role emphasizes client relationship building, cross-functional leadership, and advanced valuation techniques using ARGUS and Excel. A strong track record in real estate advisory and financial analysis is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics, business, accounting or related field is a plus.
• 6-8 years of experience in Real Estate Valuation or Consulting incl. valuations for financial reporting (ASC 805/820).
• Ability to build effective relationships with supervisors, colleagues and outside professionals.
• Strong IT aptitude with word-processing, spreadsheets and presentations; adapt to new tech.
• Solid financial analysis skills and ability to spot issues via financial statements.
• Self-starter with drive to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Be the lead professional on real estate valuation and advisory engagements and overall engagement management.
• Participate in and drive business development through internal and external channels.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of our staff.
• Communicate with clients to foster relationships.
• Identify and assist with pursuing key clients and targets.
• Develop real estate valuations using ARGUS and Excel, including direct capitalization, sales comparison, cost approach and highest and best use.
• Assist with marketing and published collateral, including Baker Tilly’s quarterly real estate update.
