Job summary

Terra, a Miami-based award-winning real estate development company, is seeking a Sr. Project Controller to lead the project accounting function across a diverse portfolio.

You will oversee financial records, improve processes, and mentor a team of accountants within Terra’s accounting department. Responsibilities include coordinating tax work, loan draws, investor reporting, and audits, while partnering with Operations, Investments, Development & Construction, Legal, and external lenders and tax

Qualifications

• Required: GAAP knowledge and a strong accounting background in real estate.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Experience managing accounting staff and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tax preparation files and respond to tax preparers’ questions.
• Coordinate year-end journal entries and roll forward Yardi companies.
• Manage project financial audits and reporting to investors.
• Lead bank and loan-related activities including draws and equity proofs.
• Mentor accounting staff and drive process improvements.
