Job summary

Terra Group, a Miami-based real estate development company, seeks a Senior Project Controller to oversee the project portfolio’s financial records, systems, and staff. The role partners with the VP of Accounting Operations to ensure accuracy and timely reporting throughout construction, draw administration, and investor reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 7–10 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills.
• Real Estate accounting experience (5+ years).
• Proven success managing a team (i.e., two or more accountants).

Responsibilities

• Oversee project team’s financial records and accounting personnel.
• Coordinate year-end entries and audits with controllers/accountants.
• Manage tax prep files and liaise with tax preparers and auditors.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting across construction draws and project lifecycle.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff and coordinate interdepartmental processes.
