Job summary

[Client] is seeking an experienced Controller to lead its corporate accounting function, overseeing close processes, consolidated reporting, and technical accounting matters in a hands-on, growth-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will be a CPA with public accounting and industry experience, capable of improving processes, controls, and scalability of the accounting organization within a real estate-focused company.

Qualifications

• CPA with strong corporate and technical accounting background.
• Leadership experience overseeing accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting concepts.
• Experience with consolidations and financial reporting processes.
• Experience with real estate, investment management, or multi-entity environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the corporate accounting function, including monthly, quarterly and annual close.
• Oversee consolidation and management reporting.
• Ensure financial reporting accuracy and timeliness under U.S. GAAP.
• Research and document complex accounting issues and new guidance.
• Provide oversight for complex transactions and business activities.
• Strengthen policies, internal controls, and reporting processes.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team; manage key close components.
• Coordinate annual financial statement audit and liaise with external auditors.
• Support tax, treasury, and corporate finance activities as needed.
