Job summary

PGIM Real Estate is seeking a Senior Investment Associate for the Northeast Originations team to facilitate multifamily and commercial real estate debt originations across multiple capital sources. You will guide transactions through underwriting, pricing, due diligence and closing, while building relationships with borrowers, lenders, and internal partners.

• Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate lending.
• Credit mindset with ability to review, structure and underwrite loans.
• Strong quantitative skills and analytical ability.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Outstanding written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Interact professionally with borrowers, intermediaries, industry peers and legal community.

Responsibilities

• Assist Loan Officers in all aspects of loan origination and closing, including analysis and underwriting, debt structuring, pricing strategy, creating presentations to senior management for pricing and loan authorization, due diligence review, transaction negotiation and closing.
• Involvement in all aspects of Core Plus transactions: screening, underwriting, modeling, term sheet completion/negotiation, and compiling Investment Committee/loan authorization materials.
• Involvement and management of legal aspects of the loan origination/closing process.
• Assisting Loan Officers with market knowledge/expertise and regional focus.
• Maintain responsibility for assisting the team’s analysts and associates with closing and due diligence review.
• Manage training and oversight for the team’s analysts and associates.
• Interact with borrowers, intermediaries, industry peers and the legal community on deals.
• Develop internal relationships with Credit and Portfolio Management; build external relationships with borrowers and intermediaries.
• Develop expertise in PGIM systems necessary for originations (Salesforce, Omnia, Loan Connect).
