Job summary

Fifth Third Bank seeks a Senior Legal Counsel for Bank Real Estate to support Enterprise Workplace Services through the real estate lifecycle, including ground leases, acquisitions, and ATM leases. You will draft, review, and negotiate complex documents, advise on risk terms, and collaborate with internal partners on major projects.

The role requires a J.D., bar admission, and strong drafting and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• Admission to a state bar is required.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support to EWS across real estate lifecycle including ground leases, acquisitions and dispositions, office leases, and ATM leases.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex ground leases and related documents, work letters, and related instruments; advise on risk terms.
• Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements and related real estate documents.
• Draft and negotiate office/retail leases, amendments, renewals, ATM leases, licenses, and related agreements.
• Interpret real estate agreements and advise on operational and property-level matters.
