Job summary

Alliance Resource Group seeks a senior accounting leader to oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting across multiple entities.

You will manage real estate accounting for a diversified portfolio, including monitoring capex, development projects, and fixed assets, while guiding consolidations and intercompany activity. A strong emphasis on policy improvements and internal controls will drive automation and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Prior real estate industry experience required, including property accounting and multi-entity reporting.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with real estate accounting software and large ERP systems (Yardi, MRI, JD Edwards, Oracle, or similar preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee accounting for a diversified real estate portfolio and monitor capital expenditures, development projects, and fixed asset accounting.
• Mentor, develop, and supervise members of the accounting team while fostering a collaborative environment.
• Coordinate annual financial statement audits and work closely with external auditors; ensure compliance with policies and GAAP.
