Job summary

Alliance Resource Group seeks a senior corporate accounting leader in Irvine to support corporate operations and oversee 7-9 staff responsible for accounting, payroll, tax and administration. You will guide monthly journal entries, GL integrity, and reconciliations while partnering with property leaders on reporting efficiencies.

CPA and 12+ years in corporate/public accounting are preferred, with experience in Real Estate or Investment Management highly valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
12–15 years of corporate accounting and public accounting experience.
6+ years in accounting management.
CPA certification required or active.
Real Estate/Professional Services/Investment Management experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.

Responsibilities

Oversee Accounting Manager and oversee monthly journal entries and postings to GL.
Review general ledger accounts for propriety; investigate anomalies and prepare correcting entries.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and address discrepancies.
Analyze financial statements for completeness and accuracy; advise management on reserves and accruals.
Collaborate with property and development leaders on reporting efficiencies using Yardi.
Oversee company-wide payroll and benefits administration.
Assist in annual financial audit and tax compliance with external auditors.
