Overview

Oversee all aspects of accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and treasury functions. Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process; prepare consolidated financial statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements specific to real estate entities. Manage cash flow forecasting, financial reporting, and capital expenditure tracking. Partner with asset management, acquisitions, and development teams to provide financial insights on performance, valuations, and new deals. Develop, document, and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies. Oversee external audits and relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and lenders. Implement systems and process improvements to increase efficiency and reporting accuracy. Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
• Strong knowledge of real estate accounting principles, including consolidations, joint ventures, and revenue recognition.
• Experience managing complex ownership structures (LLCs, partnerships, REITs a plus).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
