Alliance Resource Group is assisting a growing real estate private equity investment firm in Los Angeles to hire an Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller. The role offers a unique mix of real estate accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, and acquisition‑related work with exposure to investment and asset management teams.

The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, a solid understanding of real estate investments, and thrives in a hands‑on, fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Approximately 6–10 years of accounting/finance experience.
• Experience in real estate private equity or real estate investment management.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and multi-entity accounting experience.
• Exposure to property-level and fund-level accounting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly and quarterly closes with reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Review financial statements at property, investment entity, and fund levels.
• Coordinate with property accounting teams, fund administrators, and external providers.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity reporting, and investment funding needs.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and portfolio reports.
• Partner with investment/asset management on performance and financing activities.
• Support acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings, and joint venture transactions.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax reporting, and compliance requirements.
