Knife River is seeking a Sales Manager to drive growth for the Ready Mix product line. You will lead pricing strategy, manage key accounts, and align sales with operations to maximize margin and service levels. This role emphasizes safety, customer service, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include forecasting, bids for major projects, and representing the company at industry events. A bachelor’s degree and 5 years in concrete sales/marketing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Able to work independently and under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing strategies with product line management to meet financial goals.
• Assist in developing sales territory with sales staff.
• Represent company at trade association meetings and events.
• Develop direction for product and service development through surveys and industry data.
• Maintain contact with Top 20 customers and assist with major bids.
• Make planned sales calls, follow leads, and open new accounts strategically.
• Provide wholistic customer support through technical information, training, jobsite expertise, and problem resolution.
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations to forecast sales volumes and lead the team to meet forecast.
