Job summary

The Senior Energy Engineer will independently lead RCx projects for commercial and industrial customers, assessing building systems, analyzing operating data, and developing energy conservation measures with cost-effective impact.

Travel and field work are involved; the role emphasizes engineering judgment, data-driven analysis, and collaboration with customers, facilities teams, and program staff to verify results

Qualifications

• Lead RCx projects for commercial/industrial customers from engagement to final reporting.
• Analyze building systems, data, and controls to identify ECMs.
• Develop energy savings calculations, cost estimates, and payback analyses.
• Prepare RCx studies and technical reports documenting findings and recommendations.
• Work with facility staff, contractors, and customers to implement measures.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead RCx and optimization projects from engagement to reporting.
• Conduct site investigations and facility walkthroughs to identify opportunities.
• Analyze BAS, HVAC, and control sequences to improve energy performance.
• Review data and drawings to diagnose issues and identify ECMs.
• Provide implementation support and verify measure performance.
