Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Range Systems Section Supervisor to provide leadership, management, and technical direction to supervisors and technicians supporting operations and maintenance activities in Data Handling and Range Safety at Vandenberg Space Force Base.

You will ensure the workforce is properly staffed, trained, qualified, and equipped to meet contract requirements and government standards, while promoting safety and reliable performance of range systems and related support functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering/business or four years of direct experience.
• 5+ years in operation and maintenance of instrumentation, facilities, and infrastructure with at least 5 years supervisory.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across customer orgs and government personnel.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret U.S. Government Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Knowledge of range mission environments at local and remote levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead O&M personnel to meet contract and mission requirements and staff recalls.
• Monitor performance of operations and maintenance personnel and provide feedback.
• Ensure infrastructure is prepared and ready to meet mission requirements.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance per standards.
• Document outages and degradation per contract standards.
• Ensure materials and supplies are ordered and stocked to meet requirements.
• Provide technical advice to management on operability and logistics; plan new facilities.
