Omitron, Inc. is seeking a full-time Space Systems Administrator to support system and network administration for SDA/C2 missions at Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required, with willingness to upgrade to TS/SCI if needed.
• 6+ years of combined experience in systems administration, DevOps, or software engineering (or 4+ years with a graduate degree).
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification or ability to obtain within onboarding period.
• Experience with Linux command-line, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Experience administering VMware vSphere and Windows/Linux server ecosystems.
• Ability to support 24/7 on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the operational platform and tenant applications for high availability.
• Troubleshoot outages and performance issues with timely response.
• Provide technical expertise for system sustainment and daily mission operations.
• Guide end-user support and promote system best practices.
• Plan and implement system upgrades, patches, and service packs.
• Conduct routine system audits for performance and compliance.
• Maintain system documentation and procedures.
• Coordinate with site teams and mission stakeholders to improve operations.
• Review alerts and incidents and drive corrective actions.
• Prepare performance reports and recommend modernization efforts.
• Ensure ITAR/EAR/CUI compliance and cybersecurity standards.
