Job summary

Hitachi Rail seeks a Senior Project Manager in the New York area to lead multiple projects, manage P&L, and ensure timely delivery. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, monitor costs, schedules, and risks, and maintain strong client relationships with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

The role requires 15 years in related industries, 5–10 years of PM leadership, and formal engineering training.

Qualifications

  • 15 years of experience in related industry or from technical/aerospace field.
  • 5-10 years of experience as a project manager with people management/leadership experience.
  • University degree in Engineering (Electronic, Telecommunications, or Informatics) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong CBTC railway signaling systems knowledge; New York familiarity is a plus.
  • Previous experience leading international projects in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple small to medium size projects within the same or similar customer/region.
  • Oversee project P&L and ensure deliverables and milestones are met.
  • Coordinate resources, monitor project performance, and report outcomes to Project Portfolio/Director.
  • Drive execution with focus on costs, schedule, quality, risks, and opportunities.
