Hitachi Rail Limited in New York is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and manage multiple projects across regions. You will drive execution, manage P&L, and coordinate across teams to meet milestones and customer expectations.

The role requires extensive experience in engineering or aerospace, CBTC signaling knowledge, international project leadership in matrix environments, and strong communication in English. A PMP/IPMA certification and NY residency are preferred.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in related industry or from technical/aerospace field.
• 5–10 years of experience as a project manager with people management/leadership experience.
• University degree in Engineering (Electronic, Telecommunications, or Informatics) or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical expertise in CBTC railway signaling systems; knowledge of New York specifics is a plus.
• Previous experience leading international projects in a matrix environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to deliver under pressure.
• PMP or IPMA certification.
• Located in New York Area
• Strong English skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage multiple small to medium size projects within the same or similar customer/region.
• Contribute to the company’s financial targets while meeting all deliverables and milestones for the project.
• Oversee project supervision and P&L responsibility.
• Coordinate resources with the Project Portfolio Director/Project Director; monitor and report on performance.
• Drive project execution and control until contract closure, focusing on costs, schedule, quality, and risks & opportunities.
• Manage interface with key customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Implement EAC processes, sales and cash forecasts, and risks & opportunities management with PMO support.
• Follow Group processes, methods, tools, and practices to deliver projects.
• Ensure lessons learned and drive continuous improvement; contribute to transformation plans.
• Develop Project Management resources and training to sustain expertise.
• Share vision and demonstrate leadership to motivate the project team.
• Communicate clearly with senior management, customers, and project teams.
