Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Construction Manager - Rail Yard Facilities to lead planning, execution, and delivery of rail yard and maintenance facility projects in the Washington, DC region. You’ll serve as the primary field representative, coordinating with owners, contractors, designers, and railroad operations personnel to ensure safe, on-time project completion.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of construction management experience delivering complex transportation, railroad, or heavy civil projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams incl. 6–7 staff in active operating environments.
• Experience managing subcontractors, subconsultants, and specialty providers with scope, budget, quality, and performance oversight.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, change management, schedule analysis, risk management, and QA/QC practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction activities for rail yard, maintenance facility, shop and related infrastructure from pre-construction through turnover.
• Serve as primary field representative, coordinating with owners, contractors, designers, utilities, railroad ops, and regulators.
• Monitor contractor performance for safety, quality, schedule, cost, and contract compliance.
• Lead project meetings, progress reviews, field inspections, and issue-resolution activities.
