Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer to support the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project in the Northeast Corridor. You will oversee daily construction, reviews, and safety compliance as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering a landmark transit infrastructure program.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with heavy civil/structural experience.
Minimum 15 years of related experience in construction contract administration.
EIT certification; PE registration preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily construction activities and Resident Engineering Inspection responsibilities.
Conduct technical reviews of plans, specs, and changes for constructability.
Ensure staff safety, regulatory compliance, and permit adherence.
Monitor contractor performance, schedule, and overall effectiveness.
Influence contractors to meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
Administer contractor payment process and recommend adjustments.
Guide progress, safety, scheduling, and meetings with stakeholders.
