Job summary

CapMetro is seeking a Supervisor, Rail Transportation in Austin to standardize floor supervision and crew-calling practices across four shift supervisors, ensure hours-of-service compliance, and drive safe, compliant operations for the TE crew. You will audit, test, and escalate issues while coordinating cross-shift staffing and disciplinary actions to avoid conflicts of interest.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred in transportation, business administration, or related field.
Eight years of rail TE crew operations experience; must be Rules Qualified and DSLE qualified.
Two years of lead or supervisory experience in standards development or enforcement.

Responsibilities

Establish standardized floor-supervision and crew-calling across all four Transportation Shift Supervisors.
Audit hours-of-service compliance under 49 CFR Part 228 for all shift teams.
Coordinate time allocation between floor supervision and crew-calling duties.
Deputize for the Supervisor of Transportation during absences and advise on crew decisions.
Oversee testing, documentation, and corrective actions per CapMetro procedures.
