Job summary

Olsson’s Rail Traffic team is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead project delivery and develop technical leadership in a niche market. You will interact with Class I railroads, state DOTs, and local agencies to improve safety and mobility nationwide.

The role requires site visits, plan/study reviews, and close collaboration with team members on multifaceted projects, with occasional travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 8+ years of traffic or transportation engineering experience
• Traffic engineering design experience
• Strong problem-solving and math skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and review and prepare plans and/or studies
• Collaborate closely with team members on complex projects
• Own project delivery activities and coordinate with clients such as railroads, state DOTs, and local agencies
• Occasional travel to job sites for observation and client meetings
