Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Senior Rail Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex rail projects, coordinating with engineering, business development and marketing teams.

The role demands extensive rail project management and proven leadership, with responsibility for budgets, schedules, risk, and client satisfaction across multiple concurrent programs. Travel to client sites and industry events is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, or structural engineering or related field.
• NJ Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 15+ years of Rail project management and business development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Rail engineering principles, standards, and practices.
• Excellent business acumen and strategic thinking to identify Rail opportunities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for Rail clients and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with high quality and attention to detail.
• Experience in proposal development, bid management, and contract negotiation.
• Demonstrated leadership to motivate cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel for meetings, assignments, and industry events.
• PMP Certification highly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the successful delivery of Rail projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget completion and client satisfaction.
• Develop and manage the project execution plan, schedules, and manpower against budget, scope, quality, and risk.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and challenges to minimize disruption.
• Provide technical and project insights on Rail matters and industry trends.
• Coordinate staffing against project performance and budget; allocate resources.
• Monitor budgets, expenditures, and financial performance to optimize costs.
• Build and maintain relationships with Rail clients and stakeholders.
• Represent the company at industry events and expand the Rail network.
• Collaborate with engineering, business development, and marketing for growth strategies.
• Lead proposal development, bid management, and contract negotiation.
• Motivate and lead cross-functional teams to achieve results.
