Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Senior Rail Project Manager/VP for our New York/Connecticut/New Jersey offices. You will lead full lifecycle rail projects, manage budgets, and drive growth with clients while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

The role requires 15+ years in rail project management, a strong technical background, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across projects. Travel may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering (or related field).
• PE license in New York preferred.
• 15+ years in rail project management with delivery of complex projects.
• Deep technical knowledge of rail systems and industry standards.
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects.
• Strong business acumen with experience capturing new opportunities in rail.
• Experience in proposal development, bid management, and contract negotiation.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel for client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle delivery of rail projects across scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Develop and implement project management plans, staffing, and delivery frameworks.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams and ensure alignment, accountability, and performance.
• Manage project financials including budget development, cost control, revenue forecasting, and cash flow.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
• Uphold QA/QC processes and continuous performance monitoring.
• Build and maintain client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
• Lead or support proposal development, bid management, and negotiations.
• Represent STV at industry events to enhance visibility.
