Job summary

STV Incorporated in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Civil Rail Engineer to join our Transportation team and help deliver the next generation of rail and transit infrastructure. You will work across the full project lifecycle from planning and design through construction support.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, at least 13 years of civil engineering experience in rail and transit, and proficiency with MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRail, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license required.
• 13+ years of civil engineering experience in rail and transit projects.
• Experience coordinating with contractors and agencies on design and construction.
• Proficiency with MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRail, AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Design and advance civil and track elements for rail and transit projects including alignments, stations, bridges, tunnels, and related facilities.
• Support design through construction by responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and resolving field design questions.
• Contribute to QA/QC and prepare reports, drawings, calculations and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, discipline leads, clients, agencies and partners to deliver safe, reliable rail solutions.
