Job summary

The Senior Rail Project Engineer at Dewberry will join Dewberry’s national Transportation Service Line to lead transit and freight rail projects in New Jersey. A BS in Civil Engineering and a PE license, plus 10+ years of rail engineering experience, are required, along with knowledge of AREMA standards, signaling, and traction power.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering and PE License.
• 10 years of rail engineering experience with strong technical background.
• Knowledgeable of AREMA track design standards and signaling/traction power.
• Experience with freight or passenger rail projects and local agencies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply railroad engineering principles to support design teams and junior engineers.
• Provide railroad operations and maintenance knowledge to design teams.
• Work on small-scale projects or portions of larger ones.
• Assist in preparing plans and reports and QC review for AREMA/FTA/FRA compliance.
