Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced Radiological Engineer to design and implement upgrades for nuclear power plants. You will handle radiological dose calculations, source-term analyses, and radiation monitoring system design while interfacing with clients on multi-discipline teams.

Role involves site visits, international travel as needed, and collaboration across engineering disciplines. A BS/MS in engineering with 10+ years of experience is required; PE is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Essential: BS or MS in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years experience with radiation monitoring systems and detectors.
• Experience with calibrations and energy response of monitoring systems.
• Working knowledge of NRC regulations for licensing and renewals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• PE license desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer upgrades/modifications for nuclear plants.
• Perform radiological dose calculations and source-term calculations.
• Interface with clients and project teams; travel to client offices and plant sites.
• Conduct site walk-downs and provide technical support to clients.
• Work on domestic and international projects; hybrid work schedule (in-office 3 days/week).
