Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Radiological Engineering professional to join our Nuclear Power Group. The role focuses on radiological dose calculations, detector systems, and design of radiation monitoring interfaces for new and existing plants, with opportunities to work on domestic and international projects.

The position is hybrid with in-office presence three days a week, requires ABET- accredited degree and about seven years of experience, and travel to client sites; strong communication

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree (BS or MS).
• Minimum 7 years in radiation monitoring systems.
• Experience with calibration and detection capabilities of monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of NRC regulations and licensing processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• PE license desired (not required).

Responsibilities

• Perform radiological dose calculations and source-term analyses.
• Design radiation monitoring systems for plant interfaces.
• Contribute to projects on domestic and international nuclear plants.
• Travel to client offices and site locations, including international travel.
• Conduct site walk-downs and provide technical client support.
