Job summary

CHAOS Inc. is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer for Algorithm Development with deep radar signal processing expertise and a strong background in C++, Python, and MATLAB.

You will work onsite in Hawthorne, CA, shaping advanced radar capabilities and AESA design principles within a multidisciplinary team. The role demands 10+ years in airborne radar systems, system-level thinking, and the ability to contribute to simulations, field tests, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field required.
• Advanced radar engineering knowledge and hands-on signal processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop radar signal processing algorithms for target detection, tracking, and classification
• Optimize algorithms for real-time performance and resource constraints
• Implement algorithms in software (C++, Python, MATLAB) and/or hardware (FPGAs, DSPs)
• Analyze radar data to evaluate system performance and identify areas for improvement
• Develop and maintain system simulations and models to support algorithm development and performance evaluation
• Contribute to the development of system requirements and specifications
• Modeling and simulation of radar systems and sub-systems as well as the signal processing chain
• Participate in field tests and data collection activities
• Document and present technical findings and progress to the team and stakeholders
