Job summary

CHAOS is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design and develop advanced radar signal processing algorithms for targeting, tracking, and classification. The role involves leading the development of new radar capabilities with minimal guidance and ensuring real-time performance within resource constraints.

Responsibilities include implementing algorithms in software or hardware (e.g., FPGAs, DSPs), analyzing radar data for performance, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field or equivalent experience.
• Deep understanding of radar systems and modes.
• Strong familiarity with Python or MATLAB.
• Experience with RF systems and digital signal processing.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop radar signal processing algorithms for target detection, tracking, and classification.
• Lead the development of new radar capabilities with minimal guidance.
• Optimize algorithms for real-time performance and resource constraints.
• Implement algorithms in software and/or hardware (e.g., FPGAs, DSPs).
• Plan and lead field tests and data collection activities.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers.
