Job summary

Raytheon NAS in Plano, Texas seeks a Radar Principal Systems Engineer to serve as a radar Subject Matter Expert on multiple programs. This on-site role collaborates with on-site engineers to advance radar design and waveform development, with mentorship for junior staff.

Responsibilities include leading a small team, conducting analyses, presenting to customers, and driving innovation in radar system integration. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of radar mode/skill development experience.
• Experience in radar mode/skill development and radar system integration.
• UNIX/Linux and programming skills in C/C++ with MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Radar performance analysis, waveform experimentation, and data analysis for complex systems.
• Participate in peer reviews and resolve technical problems.
• Interface with team lead and engineers daily.
• Develop novel radar waveforms and innovative work products for programs.
• Mentor junior engineers within the algorithm engineering group.
• Demonstrate strong presentation and written communication skills.
