Job summary

Raytheon seeks a Senior Radar Systems Engineer to join the Advanced Development line in Plano, TX. The role focuses on radar algorithm and signal processing mode development to support distributed aperture radar programs, including AMTI, GMTI, SAR and other sensing capabilities. Must be onsite in Plano.

Responsibilities include radar waveform design, performance analysis, and collaboration with software, hardware, and program management to ensure successful delivery. Some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Design radar and communications modes, develop radar waveforms and support signal processing analyses.
• Collaborate with Software, Hardware, Firmware teams and Program Management for planning and execution.
• Develop mathematical algorithms for radar signal processing and evaluate algorithm performance.
• Manage tasks, requirements and commitments across disciplines and present results to stakeholders.
• Support travel as needed (anticipated <20%).
• Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders.
