Raytheon’s Naval Airborne Systems (NAS) in Plano, TX seeks a Radar Senior Principal Systems Engineer to provide radar expertise, lead a small team of radar analysts, and support the chief engineer on multiple programs and IRAD efforts. This is an on-site role in Plano, requiring the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S.

government security clearance with US citizenship. You will perform radar performance analysis, waveform design, system capability investigations, and data analysis for complex

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM field and extensive radar development experience.
• Experience with MTI and Tracking algorithms for radar systems.
• Radar mode development (SAR, ISAR, MTI) and radar system integration.
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux and programming in C/C++ with MATLAB or Python for data analysis.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the USN customer and USG scientists on new algorithms and improvements to the AAS system.
• Provide leadership to a small radar analysts team and support the chief/lead systems engineer.
• Conduct radar performance analysis, waveform design, and algorithm development for complex systems.
• Present to customers/program stakeholders and develop novel radar waveforms and work products.
